New Rosedale Feed Mill carries a good selection of beef mineral premixes to target the nutrient requirements of beef cattle throughout different stages of production. The right choice of mineral depends on the type of feed the cattle are being fed.

Beef Mineral Premixes:

3:1 Beef Premix – these mineral premixes are high in calcium relative to phosphorus and are suited for corn grazing and for rations that contain little or no alfalfa hay.

2:1 Beef Premix – these mineral premixes have a moderate amount of both calcium and phosphorus. They are suited for grain based rations.

1:1 Beef Premix – these mineral premixes are suited for cattle being fed mainly a hay or forage based ration.

Breeder Premixes – these premixes are high in vitamins and minerals for fertility, milk production and contain chelated trace minerals for increased absorption. Cows should be switched to the breeder premix three months prior to breeding season and remain on it until the end of breeding season.

The breeder premixes can also be used as a calving mineral. It should be fed three months prior to calving to meet the increasing nutrient demands of the mother cow in late gestation and to improve colostrum quality, leading to overall higher immune function of the calf.

Summer Range Premixes – these mineral premixes are designed for cattle on fresh grass and in early to mid-gestation.

The majority of New Rosedale Beef Mineral Premixes are targeted to be fed at 100 grams (or 3 – 4 ounces) per head per day. Intake can be regulated by mixing with salt to increase or decrease consumption.

Cana-Lix Beef MAX 18% Chelated Lick Tub

New Rosedale Feedmill is proud to now be selling our own line of lick tubs. The Cana-Lix Beef MAX 18% Chelated Lick Tub has been designed to be fed free-choice to beef cattle along with an adequate amount of forage and free choice salt. It has been formulated to provide an excellent source of protein, energy, minerals and vitamins. The consumption of this lick block supplement is expected to be between 100-150 grams per head per day. Please contact your New Rosedale Feedmill Representative for specific feeding recommendations.
